So my wife got her masters and is now
officially qualified for the job she's been doing for the past 3 years. ;)
I'm proud of her - even if she doesn't really see it as that big of an accomplishment.
I guess when you love school as much as Kari does - it's no thing. But also - apparently Drake is way easy not as awesome as Cornell College... I don't think she learned a whole lot of new things at Drake, which is a sad thing for a person who loves to learn. I'm not really sure how I feel about that. I mean, we basically just paid a lot of time and money for a piece of paper (which is the only thing that counts, of course).
This could mean that Cornell's education department is amazing. It could also mean that Drake's graduate education department sucks. But I sort of think it's both... combined with experience and the fact that Kari is ridiculous good at what she does.
It's really fun to know Kari's awesome at her job. ...Even if her salary doesn't really reflect that, ha.
So that said, we celebrated. Food, drinks, friends, and family. It was a good time.
Thanks to all 30ish people that came out friday. However, you didn't drink enough freakin beer! I've got 2/3 of a keg leftover!
Then Saturday, we had dinner at Sage with Kari's parents and my mom. Amazing as always.
And Sunday was the ceremony followed by a toast at Encore Pizza.
It was a great time.
My gf rules!

Congratulations Kari!
Sorry I couldn't make it to your party. But, thanks to everyone at the party for not drinking all the beer. Now we'll have plenty for this weekend. I'm fairly sure we'll have a capable crew for polishing off 2/3 of a keg.
