we basically got screwed and they weren't cool about it at all.
kari's parents were given a $100 taki gift card for their 30th anniversary.
so we went in to use it, racked up a pretty conservative sushi bill at $135. and when we went to use the gift card, the server said it only had 49 cents let on it. impossible - it was never used.
so, what basically happened was, whenever our gift card was bought, the person working gave us a previously used card instead of the $100 card that was purchased. the number on the card didn't even match the one on the receipt.
we got owned.
it was basically their word against ours on the whole deal, but they wouldn't budge.
the dudes who used to run the place would've made it right, but they sold it and the new management is not about customer service.
