This is my crown tattoo. It's my first tattoo and the biggest thing ever. Seriously. It couldn't possibly be any bigger and still fit on my body. It took 8 hours and cost me a little over $650.

All of the work was been done by Budha at 5 Point Studios in Johnston, IA.

Why did I get a crown?
1. Because I rule.
2. My name (Derek) means "Power of the tribe"
3. Confidence.
4. Having control over myself - hopefully.

Sessions:
1. May 26, 2007 - 2 hours, $200 - outline, bottom shading.
2. July 2, 2007 - 2.5 hours, $150 - touch up, shading between "posts" and shading on bottom rim.
3. November 29, 2007 - 2 hours, $200 - shading touch up, shading the posts and ball.
4. January 11, 2008 - 1 hour, $60 - Finished shading, extended black fades, touched up.
5. October 17, 2008 - 1/2 hour, $40 tip - Extended bottom fade.
