Today ruled. We went on another excursion called the Jeep Safari Tour. We took this open top 16 person jeep through Castries, a banana plantation, some mountains, to a rainforest, and to a secluded beach. We stopped in the mountains at this little stand to try some fresh fruit, I drank out of a coconut, we had star fruit, fresh pineapple, etc. We also bought some banana ketchup to bring home, heh.
So after that we drove down into the rainforest, hiked some insane trails to this awesome cascading waterfall, and then hiked some more. Normally they cross the rivers by jumping rocks, but since there was so much rain the day before, the rocks were below the water. We had to walk through waist high, fast flowing rivers - it ruled. When we were leaving the rainforest and heading toward Anse La Ray we saw some people carrying laundry on their heads - 3 minutes later we saw dudes watching Spiderman 2 on their PSP, ha. Things are crazy here. So many extremes.
On our tour we were supposed to swim at this clear pool beyond the waterfall, but since we got so much rain they told us they'd take us to this beach instead. It's a beach that you can only get to with a 4x4 vehicle. It was a pretty crazy ride down the hill to it; with all the rain, a lot of the trail was washed out. Since it was so secluded we were the only people there. They cracked open some Pitons for us and we got to swim in the Caribbean while sipping local beer. Life rules about now. Then we got stuck a couple times trying to get back up to the roads, it was fun.
Once we got back we tried to make reservations at the good restaurants at the other sandals on the island. We only got resos at one which was lame, but whatever. We wanted to get into this japanese restaurant so bad, but had no luck.
After that, lunch at bayside, tried to wakeboard, swam, laid on the beach, got denied on scuba diving because I answered yes to ever having asthma. The guy wouldnt back down either, maaan. So we laid on the beach some more, I played, etc. Later we caught a shuttle to Sandals Regency with this couple we met from Minneapolis (Pete and Laura). Our plan was to try to get into the japanese restaurant without resos, but got denied in the worst way. So we ate at this italian restaurant called Armandos, which was nice.
After coming home I learned to play snooker, which has this insanely huge pool table. You'd have to have like a spare 3 car garage just to own one. It is insane - but pretty fun. After snooker a martini/seafood bar opened up in the main lobby. Grey goose martinis, sushi, lobster, scallops, etc @ midnight. <3

Smerek & Kari, You have to check out the French restaurant at the Regency if you can, or the Pier Restaurant at Sandals Halcyon. (P.S. Bring me some weed)
