We could talk for hours about this. I have the rash and swelling too. That's how I found out I have Celiac's. Gluten free can be tough but it's so much better for you. Have Kari send me recipes for the casseroles!! Once I have a kitchen again, would love to try em.
Oh! Check your body care products too! Some have gluten or wheat or pay extracts! I also cut out petroleum ( also helped with the rash)

Broox, a friend of mine has a severe case of Celiac disease and has had a lot of experience in taking care of her diet as a result. She can recommend a number of sources for you on recipes, food, what to stay clear of eating (like you said, folks generally are surprised to hear what foods have gluten in them), etc. I'll wrangle some links and send them to you later.

I have always wanted to try to go gluten free for a couple of different reasons. If u can try it i should give it a shot. Pizza would be the hardest!

So glad you have finally figured it out! You've had that from a teenager. Stupid Midwest Drs that you'd see time after time...A friend here also has celiac's. She has grown accustomed to her diet and now has no problems. I agree giving up pizza would kill me! You can get gluten free flour and make your own pizzas! Good luck!!!

Good stuff. I'm still lingering in the pre phase of gluten free. I might be here for a minute.
