yep, i basically want an OSX version of the iOS remote.
Home Sharing doesn't quite work because I want the music to actually be playing on my iTunes box. Screen sharing is my current solution but it's a bit clunky. There are various ways around it via a web app that talks to AppleTalk that talks to iTunes, but ... heh. I'd just like an OSX version of the iOS remote.

pretty sure you can do it son! Do you have an Apple TV remote? Otherwise you might be able to download the remote app on your iPad.

oh gotcha. With the iOS remote app I can control my iTunes library on my MBP as well at my AppleTV but you want a remote app for OSX
