well most large 42" flat screen 1080 hdtv's are only 52 ppi. the bigger the screen the less ppi is needed. the new phones ppi is higher then needed.

well that's because your hdtv is probably 6-10 feet away from you, whereas monitors are only 1-2 feet away. when something is closer, that pixel density is more important.
have you seen the iphone 4 or nexus screen? after looking at my phone for a minute, my laptop monitor looks like doodoo brains.

I have not yet but have read the new iphone is a little too crisp and clear. and that the iphone did not need to be over 300ppi. HP did just come out with some 200ppi monitors thou.
