Cornell, Celebration, and Ninjas posted

Ah, what a weekend. Kari and I went to Mount Vernon and Cedar rapids to have a 'going steady celebration' with our parents. Friday was open so I totally planned on breaking Cornell - because I love breaking Cornell. So, I called friends to meet me there - Kevi, and Jeff. Soon, I realized that both friends are really, incredibly lame. Jeff had to hang out with his gf and Kevi had to either sit at home or hang out with his gf, or both. Lamers. But anyway, I ate at Lincoln Cafe - so good (it was in Oprah Magazine once, haha), hung out with lots of girls, saw old friends at the bars, and walked around campus until 3AM or so. I was only mildly destructive without my friends there. Basically I just took pictures and looked pretty. I miss Cornell. Luckily Steph and Lindsey still go there so we can visit.

Saturday I hung out with Kevi and then met up with my parents at Coral Ridge mall. Then we met up with Kari's parents at Three Samurai - a Japanese Grill very similar to Taki... but not quite as good, except for the Spicy Salmon rolls. We had a good time.

Sunday we came home and picked up a dog. I really didn't know what to name it. I wanted Bullet, Glock, Full Clip, or something gang related. But since it's partially a Christmas present for kari and due to her stupid hatred for guns, those names were out. SO, because he's always on the prowl, has superior fighting skillz, and likes to be stealth and blend in with his natural environment, I decided on Ninja. He is awesome. He's only like 6 weeks old (born on November 6) and is 3/4 lab. His mom was a fullbred Chocolate Lab, and it's dad was half black lab and half nobody knows. But he looks like a yellow lion... so it's weird that he's half black and Ninja is all black. Dogs are funny. Ninja's probably tearing the hell out of our bathroom right now.

Read this site about REAL NINJAS and their REAL Ultimate Power!!!!!!!! The author of this page is dedicated. He loves ninjas with all of his body (including his pee pee).

  • That is the cutest little stealth assassin I have ever seen. Gonna be fun pee-training him in this cold weather.

  • that kids ninja page is way cooler than your page. i bet he can get a free ipod whenever he wants too. so, $50 for your old one or what? I look forward to meeting this, Ninja, with his indomitable fighting skills, and Tenchu-like stealthyness. See you Thursday (i think)

  • I'm surprised to hear he is 3/4 lab... I was told these puppies barely had any lab in them and surely wouldn't grow to be more than 30 pounds. Nice try Nehru - no Ninja for you :) But yours is very cute, Derek!
