There was a time when I was proud to be an Iowan, but that is no longer the case. This once fairly progressive, Midwestern state has become so backwards.

just closed on refinancing our house. dropped the rate, knocked 5 years off the loan, and will be saving ~$50k... with roughly the same monthly payment.
feels like cheating.
