Furnace: fixed, after basically having the same problem as my fireplace. Broken switches. Super glad to not be dropping $$$$$$$$$ right now.

The dumbass that installed my fireplace, *duct taped* the switch wires together... and melted duct tape glue isn't very conductive. Fixed.
