There's a group of kids trick-or-treating in my neighborhood. The houses aren't answering or don't have candy, and the kids have empty buckets. Again, Halloween in Des Moines is weird.

Had the bright idea to take Kari up to Ankeny for dinner... for the nostalgia. It was a horrible idea. God I'm glad we moved out of this place.

I've been noticing a weird epenthesis lately where a lot of people (myself included) seem to append a T sound when saying "hey" in passing. Everyone is basically just walking around saying, "hate"
